UPDATE: Over J$10 m seized at property during Jamaica/US narco-trafficking operation
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The security forces reportedly seized a combined total of over J$10 million (US$40,000, CA$29,000, J$537,000) in cash from one of the target premises in St Andrew, during the joint multi-agency anti-narcotics operation in St Andrew and St James on Wednesday, July 20.
They added that six high-end vehicles were also seized. These include two Mercedes Benz, a Toyota Tacoma truck, a Honda CRV, a Lexus motorcar and an Infinity SUV.
Earlier today, four people were held during the operation, one of which is a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force who, it was confirmed, operates out of St James.
The multi-agency investigations are ongoing.
