#WorldChamps: Jamaica’s Anderson wins silver in women’s 100m hurdles final
EUGENE, Oregon – Britany Anderson has claimed her first world championship medal after winning the silver medal in the final of the women’s 100 metres hurdles in Eugene, Oregon.
Anderson advanced to the final in a personal best and national record time of 12.31 seconds. However, she stormed to a time of 12.23 seconds (+2.5m/s) to capture the silver medal in the final of the event.
Meanwhile, the race was won by the new world record holder, Tobi Amusan of Nigeria in an impressive time of 12.06 seconds (+2.5m/s), while the Tokyo Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn rounded out the top three in a time of 12.23 seconds.
However, the other Jamaican in the event, Danielle Williams, finished sixth in a time of 12.44 seconds.
