12-y-o dies in Trelawny motor vehicle crash
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – The carnage on Jamaican roads has continued with the death of a 12-year-old boy, who reportedly died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision along the Hague main road in Trelawny on Tuesday morning.
The identity of the child has not yet been ascertained.
Reports are that the collision occurred about 7:30 am when two motorcars, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided along the roadway.
The drivers of both vehicles, along with the 12-year-old occupant of one of the units, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital, where the boy was pronounced dead. The injuries to the two other people are not considered to be life-threatening.
Two weeks ago, three children died in a motor car crash along the Old Harbour main road involving a Toyota Wish and a Nissan AD wagon.
