Cabbie accused of raping 14-y-o being sought by cops
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A Clarendon taxi driver is being sought by the police after being accused of raping a 14-year-old.
Police said the cabbie, who goes by the alias ‘Shark’, recently took the child to an area called Bottom Windsor in the parish where he reportedly committed the act.
It is alleged that the teen, who is a student, and the accused man met sometime in April 2022.
It is further alleged that on July 13, 2022, the taxi driver, despite knowing the child to be under 16, took her to Bottom Windsor where he sexually assaulted her in his car.
The police became aware of the incident and spoke to the child. Since then, efforts to find the taxi driver have proven futile.
