Best of both worlds @Face to Face Spa

Face to Face Skin Care Salon & Spa has ‘care’ in its DNA, and is backed by 25 years of experience. Helmed by the enterprising mother-daughter duo of Andrea McKenzie-Ricketts and Chanel Ricketts, it comes as no surprise that they’ve created their own skincare line. Not one, but two called Luminous Skin Care and Vivant Skin Care, an advanced medical grade skincare line of products designed to address total skin health.

A licensed aesthetician, McKenzie-Ricketts began her career doing hair alongside her mother, noted hairdresser Marva Bloomfield-Clarke, in one of Jamaica’s, and indeed the region’s, most popular salons: Hair Power. She went on to receive formal training at the world-renowned Christine Valmy International Institute in Manhattan, New York, returning to Jamaica to hone her craft.

In 1997, McKenzie-Ricketts took her trade to the next level with the opening of the Face to Face Skin Care Salon & Spa. In 2016, after her daughter Chanel — who worked as a receptionist at the spa in her teenage years — formalised aesthetics training at the HEART Trust/NTA in Jamaica and later in Miami, Florida with Vivant Skin Care formulator Dr Fulton, the two decided to join forces.

For the mother-daughter duo, co-managing the spa requires purpose and dedication. Decisions are made as a unit while prioritising a healthy balance between the professional and the familial. It was this synergy that spawned the introduction of the Vivant Skin Care line to the spa offerings, and the creation of the spa’s organic product line: Luminous. All products work in conjunction with the team’s holistic organic herb-infused facial treatments. The goal is to nourish skin while treating stubborn issues.

Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) delivers a crash course on Vivant, with more to come from the Luminous products, available exclusively at Face Skin Care Salon & Spa.

Designed to work as a synergistic system, Vivant products address total skin health, each enhancing the efficacy of the next, with multi-tiered solutions that allow your skin care system to progress along with your skin.
