Man killed in Negril identified
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— The Westmoreland police have identified a man who was shot and killed on Nonpariel Road, in Negril Westmoreland, on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Lamar Smith, otherwise called ‘Pops’, a labourer of the community.
Reports from the police are that Smith was standing at the front of a bar about 5:45pm when a white Toyota Axio motor car drove up and three men alighted and brandished firearms. The men then opened gunfire on Smith hitting him to the head and upper body.
He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
