8 ways to prevent fungal infections
Dear Readers,
I’ve found in my practice that fungal infections or ring worms are common. Although the infection can be annoying and uncomfortable, it’s typically not serious. So let’s go through some tips on how to prevent fungal infections.
1. Be sure to practise good hygiene
2. Don’t share clothing, towels, or other personal items
3. Wear clean clothes everyday, particularly socks and underwear
4. Avoid clothing and shoes that are too tight or have a restrictive fit
5. Make sure to dry off properly with a clean, dry towel after showering, bathing, or swimming
6. Wear sandals or flip flops in locker rooms instead of walking in bare feet
7. Wipe down shared surfaces, such as gym equipment or mats
8. Always see a doctor if you have any fungal infection
