Make WhatsApp messages disappear

Make WhatsApp messages disappear

WhatsApp now allows you to get rid of messages which may come back to haunt you.

Disappearing Messages not only saves you from future embarrassment, but also clears up space on your phone. Texts, video and pictures automatically self-destruct according to the settings you determine — 24 hours, seven days or 90 days. Disappearing Messages will not go back in time and delete old missives. You can also have Disappearing Messages delete messages from specific contacts.

If a disappearing message is forwarded to a chat with disappearing messages off, the message won’t disappear in the forwarded chat. If a user creates a backup before a message disappears, the disappearing message will be included in the backup. Disappearing messages will be deleted when a user restores from a backup.
