Space bar mute in Google Meet

Google Meet will soon be able to “hold down the space bar to be unmuted”. Google says this “will also help in situations in which you forget to mute again after unmuting yourself”.

News of the muting option came in an update from Google Workspace: “We hope this makes it even easier for you to participate in your meetings by quickly unmuting to say something.”

“This keyboard feature is OFF by default and can be enabled in the Google Meet settings,” the company said in a blogpost.
