Tamo J levels the playing field
Tamo J is on the verge of landing a collab with a major R&B superstar who is interested in doing a remix of his hit single Level Up.
“My management team and I received a call from a global superstar and she has actually done a remix for Level Up. Right now, we have a team handling the negotiations. I am also doing a remix for one of her songs… It’s an exceptional look,” said the artiste, whose real name is Dwight-Christopher Allen.
The Level Up single, produced by Boom Rich Productions in association with Gennastorm Productions (his management team), was released four weeks ago on all digital download platforms generating major attention.
Tamo J will be appearing on Digicel Rising Stars on Sunday as a special guest.
Born on May 23, 1992 in London, he moved to Kingston, Jamaica, with his mother three years later. Raised in church, his musical journey began at six years old with choir, group and solo performances.
Tamo J attended Calabar High School for three years, but completed his studies at Kingsway High School in St Andrew.
In 2011 he wrote, recorded and produced his first song, Forever and Always.
In November 2013 Tamo J produced his first eight-track EP, Eccentric, from his bedroom. A year later, he met and began working with the legendary producer/songwriter Mikey Bennett and has recorded several singles since.
He is currently promoting songs including Protein and Life I’m Living ft Munga Honourable.
