Business Social — October 26, 2022
The Business Social this week brings you highlights from the launch of Jump — Flow’s programme to bridge the digital divide by providing broadband connectivity, devices, and digital training to the most vulnerable households through a public-private partnership — which was launched last Wednesday, October 19 at Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
Jump will initially target 1500 households during its four- to six-month pilot programme, and is set to begin next month. Flow is working with the Ministry of Science, Energy & Technology, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the PATH Programme, Universal Service Fund, Caribbean School of Data, One-on-One Educational Services, the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation and the Flow Foundation to make this happen.
The programme aims to significantly narrow the digital gap that exists and ensure no one is left behind. A worthwhile investment that will change lives, Jump will unlock the potential in the economy and truly enable progress.
