One dead, another injured in Clarendon shooting
Police are still trying to establish a motive for the killing of a man and injuring of another in York Town, Clarendon on Wednesday night.
Dead is 54-year-old Sylvester Eli Richardson, who police say is of an unknown address. The injured man is a 39-year-old.
Reports are that about 10:00 pm, both men were at a shop in the community watching music videos on a laptop when a man entered and ordered a soup.
While the man was being served, he pulled a firearm from his bag, opened fire and hit both men before escaping on foot into the area.
The police, on arrival at the scene, saw Richardson lying on his right side in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.
The 39-year-old received gunshot wounds to his upper body and right leg. He has since been admitted to hospital in serious condition.
No suspect has yet been identified in connection with the incident.
