Business social – November 6
A lack of understanding of financial services and the basics of personal finance can impact the financial growth of a people and ultimately the wealth of a nation.
Seeking to remove the barriers to financial literacy for Jamaicans, GraceKennedy Financial Group (GKFG) launched its GK Money Sense Masterclass on Tuesday, November 1, in collaboration with Kemar “Ding Dong” Ottey. The launch took place at GraceKennedy’s corporate headquarters on Harbour Street, downtown Kingston, and marked the unveiling of an exciting series of masterclasses to be hosted by Ottey, who will help the average citizen understand financial topics that are often perceived as technical or difficult to understand. Starting November 13, the public will learn about budgeting, saving, insurance, remittances, pensions, financial security, and more, over an 18-week period. The masterclasses, made engaging and relatable, will be accessed through the GraceKennedy Financial Group’s YouTube and Facebook pages for all interested persons. The Business Social has somehighlights of the launch.
