Jamaica and Paraguay 0-0 at half time
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Jamaica and Paraguay were tied at 0-0 after the first half in the first game of their two-game friendly series at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Thursday.
Led by captain Khadisha Shaw, the Jamaicans dominated the chances but failed to get past Paraguay’s goalkeeper Alicia Bobadilla. The game is being played under cool conditions after a short shower just before kickoff.
Shaw, who was earlier in the day named Player of the Month for October in the Women’s Super League in England, had no fewer than three chances but saw Bobadilla stop two with the other hitting the crossbar in the 27th minute.
Jamaica’s Drew Spence also came close in the 44th minute when she was sent through down the right flank but Bobadilla stuck out a right boot to deflect the shot.
