Wake Forest beat LaSalle for fourth win at Jamaica Classic
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Wake Forest ‘Demon Deacons’ won their fourth straight game of the NCAA Men’s College basketball season after beating LaSalle University 75-63 on Friday’s first day of the Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
Tyree Appleby scored 23 points from 10 baskets, including two three pointers to lead the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team as they ran away from the “Explorers” in the second half after leading by just two points 35-33 at half time.
Damari Montsanto came off the bench to score 14 points for Wake Forest, Zach Keller scored 11 points, while Andrew Carr also got 10.
LaSalle snapped a two game winning run in their loss and were led by 23 points from Josh Nickleberry who made six of his 13 three point attempts.
