One of St Catherine’s most wanted shot dead by police

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – One of St Catherine’s most wanted, Barrington ‘Coolie’ Campbell was shot dead by police in Riversdale in the parish on Friday night.

It is reported that about 11pm, Campbell opened fire on a police team attempting to apprehend him on the Riversdale main road, hitting one of the cops.

The lawmen returned fire and Campbell was shot.

Campbell and the injured policeman were taken to hospital, where the suspect died and the cop admitted.

A firearm was seized in the incident.

Campbell, 32, had been wanted for shooting with intent. He was known to frequent Big Lane and Central Village.
