Bolt, Fraser-Pryce host Christmas treats in hometown
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The world’s fastest man and woman, Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, are both hosting their annual Christmas treats on Monday, December 26.
The internationally acclaimed athletes are currently in their respective hometowns of Sherwood Content in Trelawny and Waterhouse in Kingston to give back to the children in these areas.
Videos of both initiatives, which are being supported by telecommunications giant, Digicel, have been shared on the athlete’s respective social media pages. The videos show scores of children enjoying rides, food treats as well as gifts.
In one of his posts, Bolt dubbed the treat the “most important thing about the Christmas season” as he showed off a host of children jumping about in colourful Bouncy Houses.
Fraser-Pryce in a few posts of her own on Instagram showed her mingling with the children as she issued food items, took photographs and engaged in impromptu dance sessions.
“Part 2 of the Pocket Rocket Christmas Treat is in full effect,” a caption on one of the videos read.
