Bounty says thanks to Khaled
Unlike fellow dancehall artiste Sizzla Kalonji, Bounty Killer is expressing gratitude for a plaque sent to him by American producer DJ Khaled for his contribution to the Khaled Khaled album.
The project was certified platinum. The Jamaican deejay alongside Buju Banton, Capleton and Barrington Levy were featured on the track Where I Come From.
Bounty Killer took to Instagram posing proudly with his plaque on Christmas Day with the caption: “Cheers to the hard work put in on this project congratulations to @djkhaled myself and all the others involved Win With Us Or Watch Us Win.”
This came approximately two weeks after Sizzla posted a video burning a plaque he also got from DJ Khaled in commemoration of his contribution to platinum certification of his Grateful (2017) and Father of Asad (2019) albums.
Tearing the face of Khaled’s eldest son, Ashad, from the plaques, Sizzla declared: “Babies are innocent” before proceeding to throw gasoline on the rest of the material on the ground. Referring to the child as his God child, the deejay said he’d rather accept the photos of Khaled’s son as his plaques than the commemorative displays sent to him.
“Yuh insult me DJ Khaled. Yuh insult Jamaica. Babies are innocent. Ashad a di boss,” the deejay can be heard saying in a video.
Khaled Khaled also topped the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums charts.
