‘Gin ‘N’Juice’ sparks fireworks
THE 30th anniversary celebration of the 90s house party series ‘Gin ‘n’ Juice’ was a hit with patrons at the Cherry Gardens Great House in St Andrew on December 3.
The event attracted a large number of patrons who were eager to take a musical trip down memory lane. DJ Bambino, DJ Delano, and DJ Arif Cooper provided the musical thrills at the event.
Promoter of the event Gregg Smith was pleased with how the evening unfolded.
“In one word, Gin ‘N’ Juice was ‘memorable!’ Our patrons came out early and enjoyed themselves throughout the event. As usual we had our regulars — who we love and appreciate — however we also had many friends who we haven’t seen in years, many of whom travelled from far and wide to attend. Then, to top that off, there were those who were experiencing the best 90s party for the first time, and [as a result] you inevitably get an awesome 30th anniversary session,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Smith shared his highlight of the evening.
“Honestly, the entire night was one big highlight. However, one thing that might have stood out to most was the fireworks show experienced by those who partied to the very end. There was a lot of ‘ahs, ohs and wows’ coming from the crowd and we were pleased to hear that. Everyone we heard from said it was a nice touch,” said the promoter.
Smith explained that proceedings of the event were executed efficiently but there were minor hiccups which were quickly resolved.
“We work tirelessly to please our patrons and strongly believe that this staging was no different, in spite of a few areas where we fell short. Our valued patrons can count on our improvements and we promise that the experience will only get better and better,” he continued.
The next staging of Gin ‘N’ Juice is scheduled for April 1, 2023.
