Villa announce Moreno signing

Aston Villa have announced the signing of left-back Alex Moreno from Real Betis.

The 29-year-old becomes Unai Emery’s first signing since he took charge of Villa.

“Alex is a good player that can help our squad,” Emery told the club’s official website.

“He has been one of the top left-backs in LaLiga over the past few seasons and we are delighted to have him here.”

Moreno will hope to feature when Villa, who lie 11th in the table, host 14th-placed Leeds United tomorrow.
