Billboard-charting Xyclone ramps up promotion of ‘Story Time’

‘Story Time’, the lead single from deejay Xyclone’s forthcoming EP titled God and Time, which is scheduled for a February 10 release, has reportedly taken on a life of its own in the viral world.

To date, there have been over 600 videos of people either performing the song or singing the song, which have made their way onto social media platform TikTok over the past two weeks.

The song, released January 3, was produced by Gold Up.

“The promotion of the song has been going well. I actually posted a video of myself back in November last year freestyling to the lyrics before I even recorded the song and people were reposting it doing dance challenges. So I decided to go ahead and make it an official song,” said Xyclone.

Xyclone added, “TikTok started to blow up right before Christmas. The song was supposed to come out on Gold Up’s album in March, but because people were reacting to it so well we decided to release it now. On TikTok it was literally 600 videos in a span of two weeks.”

Xyclone says he plans to extend the promotion of the song outside of social media platforms.

“Yes, DJs have requested the song and it’s already being played on radio and in the street dances. People from all over are dancing to it on TikTok from USA, to Japan, Ukraine, Guyana, Trinidad and especially Jamaica,” said Xyclone.

Xyclone’s previous full-length project, 2021’s Sounds of South America, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.
