St Ann man charged after woman robbed at knifepoint
ST ANN, Jamaica — A 24-year-old man was charged following an incident in his community on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
Charged with robbery with violence and unlawful wounding is Carvel ‘Pumpkin’ Watson, a labourer of Clayground, Bamboo in St Ann.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that the complainant was walking along the roadway when she was pounced upon by Watson, who was armed with a knife. He demanded her phone and personal belongings before using the knife to inflict several wounds on her. A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.
Watson was subsequently apprehended and placed on an identification parade on Friday where he was positively pointed out by the complainant.
