#PennRelays: KC defends 4x400m title at rainy Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA, USA – Kingston College (KC) defied the odds and defended their high school boys championships of Americas 4x400m title in wet and cold conditions at the 127th staging of the Penn Relays Carnival at Franklin Field in Philadelphia on Friday.
The team of Amal Glasgow, Marchino Rose, Raheem Richards and Emmanuel Rwotomiya ran 3:15.62 seconds to hold off Seton Hall Prep, who led for a large part of the race finishing second with 316.06 seconds with Calabar High third in 3:16.54 seconds.
KC was in second at the start of the final leg but Rwotomiya, caught the anchor leg runner of Seton Hall Prep mid way the leg before passing him at the top of the final curve.
Edwin Allen High were fourth in3:17.08 seconds, St Elizabeth Technical finished fifth in 3:18.85 seconds while St Jago were eighth in 3:22.35 seconds.
