St Mary taxi operator charged for allegedly raping teen girl
ST MARY, Jamaica— A St Mary taxi operator has been charged after he reportedly raped a teenage passenger in Highgate in the parish on March 1.
Charged is 34-year-old Howard Thompson, otherwise ‘Lucky’—who doubles as a disc jockey— of Top Martin, Islington in the parish.
Reports from the Islington Police are that the complainant was in Thompson’s taxi when he parked the vehicle, entered the rear passenger seat and raped her. A report was made to the police and Thompson was charged after he was positively pointed out by the complainant on an identification parade.
His court date is not yet finalised.
