US Olympic sprint champion Tori Bowie dies at 32
Three-time Olympic medallist and former 100 metres world champion, American sprinter Tori Bowie, has died aged 32, the BBC is reporting.
A cause of death has not yet been revealed
Bowie won 4×100 metres relay gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics, and 100m silver and 200 metres bronze.
Additionally, in 2017, Bowie won the global title over 100 metres at the World Championships in London, as well as relay gold.
The athlete’s management firm confirmed her passing.
“We’re devastated to share the very sad news that Tori Bowie has passed away. We’ve lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister. Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shined so bright! We’re truly heartbroken and our prayers are with the family and friends,” Icon Management, her agent, said.
