60-y-o farmer charged for murder
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A 60-year-old farmer from Clarendon has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a woman in his community on Friday, May 12.
Charged is Winston Reid otherwise called ‘Happy’, a farmer of King Street, Lionel Town, Clarendon.
The deceased has been identified as 59 years old Yvonne Reid of Mc Winnie Street, Lionel Town in the parish.
Reports are that about 2:00 pm, an argument escalated between Winston and the woman. A knife was brought into play and she was stabbed several times in the upper body. The police were summoned and upon arrival she was rushed to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The farmer was later charged after an interview. His court date has yet to be finalised.
