19-y-o charged for 2022 murder
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder, wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition stemming from an incident on Wildman Street in Kingston on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Charged is Federick Walters of Homestead, St Thomas and Wildman Street.
Walters was charged with the murder of Romaine Miller, otherwise called ‘Chin Chin’, and the injury of another man.
Reports from the Central Police are that about 10:45 am, Miller and the other man were sitting on a bench along the roadway when Walters allegedly approached and opened gunfire hitting them.
Miller was pronounced dead at hospital, while the injured man was treated.
Following a yearlong probe, Walters was arrested and subsequently charged following an interview.
Investigations continue.
