Jamaica’s ‘Whisper’ included in Chelsea’s 29-man squad to the USA

Jamaican starlet Dujuan “Whisper” Richards has been named among 29 players for Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the US.

The 17-year-old Richards, who will join the club following his 18th birthday in October, will only be part of the training unit, the club announced Monday.

According to Chelsea, the games are set to be held in three different locations (Philadelphia, Atlanta and Landover) where they are expected to meet English top-flight opponents: Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Fulham.

Richards will join the likes of Thiago Silva, Kepa and Enzo Fernandez on the squad..

The tour is expected to end in Chicago, with a game against German side Borussia Dortmund.

In their announcement Chelsea also revealed that Jamaican-English football star, Raheem Sterling is also expected to be included in the travelling party alongside Conor Gallagher and Ben Chilwell.
