#WorldChamps2023: Andrew Hudson finishes eighth in 200m final
Jamaica’s Andrew Hudson finished eighth in the final of the men’s 200m at the World Athletics Championships at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary on Friday.
Hudson advanced to the final as the ninth competitor after expressing he had trouble seeing as he was involved in a golf cart crash between the warm up track and stadium during the semi-final round on Thursday.
He clocked a time of 20.40 seconds for eighth in the gold medal race.
America’s Noah Lyles secured his third World Championships title in a time of 19.52 seconds. His compatriot Erriyon Knighton finished second in 19.75. Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo won the bronze in 19.81 seconds.
