Girls Hill Water Mayhem unleashed in Guy’s Hill
Patrons had a whale of a time during the Girls Hill Water Mayhem in Guy’s Hill, St Catherine recently at the football field located at Decoy Community Centre.
The organisers, known as the Roadcrushers, a well-known promotions company from Guy’s Hill, had the intention to host one of the most anticipated summer events in the community.
Patrons partied up a storm listening to the Black Princess Sound system, the resident sound. Selectors like DJ Skippa from Roadcrushers Ent, Jah Blast King, DJ Webley and DJ Shane played a great mix of dancehall, reggae, Afrobeats and rap music.
As they listened to the pulsating beats, some patrons took the opportunity to be immersed in a sea of foam. The females, especially, had a great time as they did let loose with balloons and water cannons in a venue designed to ensure foamy fun.
“The event was a collective movement from the RC ( Roadcrushers) family, joining hands, hearts, ideas and time together to make the event a success. Big up to the residents of neighbouring communities and overseas residents who turned up,” Opal Taylor-McIntosh, one of the key members of the Roadcrushers family, said.
“If you do events you know how unpredictable they can be. I have to give thanks for my family and all the support they have provided over the years, the team on the ground and everyone who has played a role in some way each year and, of course, the patrons because without them there would be no Girls Hill event.”
