KINGSTON, Jamaica – Denbigh High secured the largest win margin in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup on Wednesday, whipping Porus High 18-0.

Dunsting Cohen scored nine goals, Decoy Wynter had three, and Daniel Daley and Adrian Miller bagged doubles while goalkeeper Tyrese Powell scored from the penalty spot in the drubbing.

The score is the most lopsided in the competition so far, beating the 15-0 win by Ocho Rios over debutants Discovery Bay High on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, former champions Glenmuir High, Garvey Maceo, Cornwall College, St James High and Dinthill Technical also kicked off their campaign on winning notes.

Glenmuir High, the Ben Francis KO holders, opened their quest for honours with a 4-0 win over Old Harbour High at Port Esquivel Sports Club. Orane Watson grabbed a double for Glenmuir as they got off to a good start in Zone L, with Nyron Allen and Deandre Johnson getting the other goals.

First half goals from Raheem Lee and Alexander Cox saw Cornwall College beat Maldon High 2-0 but Irwin High lead Zone A on goal-difference after beating Spot Valley High 3-0 with Leo Campbell scoring twice and Nicholous Samuels getting the other.

St James High edged Green Pond High 1-0 thanks to a 33rd minute goal from Kenou Gram.

Dinthill Technical were 3-1 winners over McGrath High in the second game of a double-header at Dinthill after Charlemont High edged Ewarton High 2-1.

Shevon Miller scored a hat-trick to lead Happy Grove to a 5-0 win over Port Antonio High, scoring in the 34th, 46th and 50th minutes with Bonny Chisholm scoring in the 43rd and Seam Williams converting a 45th-minute penalty.

Knox College made a winning return to the competition, edging Alphansus Davis High 1-0 while Black River held back-to-back semi-finalist Mannings School to a 1-1 draw.
