DEFENDING champions Clarendon College, former winners St Elizabeth Technical High School (steths), and Garvey Maceo High were among eight more schools who maintained their perfect record in the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association daCosta cup football competition.

Clarendon College beat Claude McKay High 8-0 on Wednesday, STETHS also scored eight against Newell High, while Garvey Maceo blanked many-time former winners Vere Technical 4-0.

Cedric Titus High, Manchester High, and Morant Bay High all scored in double digits, while Edwin Allen High were 6-0 winners over Kellits High and BB Coke High beat Maggotty High 2-1.

Malachi Douglas scored four times for Clarendon College in their easy win as they brushed aside Claude McKay to take over the lead in Zone H, ahead of Edwin Allen who saw Tajay Thomas and Patrick Harrison notch double strikes in their victory.

Dontae Campbell and Kenoy Bamton both got on the scoresheet twice for STETHS to thrash Newell High. Deandre Hibbert, Antwone Smith, Justin McPherson and R-Jay Newman were the other goalscorers.

Mackode Barrett scored three goals while Rasheed Henry and Tyson Eccleston got two each as Cedric Titus whipped Discovery Bay High 10-0 in their Zone C game.

Manchester High beat Cross Keys High 11-0, with Jhamar Brown leading the way with four goals. Adrian Campbell scored three goals and Javier Newman got two.

Morant Bay High spanked Robert Lightbourne High 12-0, with Richard Golding scoring a hat-trick.

On Thursday Happy Grove High will also be seeking to get their third-straight when they play Titchfield High in a Zone N game. Elsewhere, Yallahs High and Paul Bogle face off in a Zone K encounter.
