Money Miser and Divine Force have shown enough to suggest that they should be easy victors in their respective categories of today’s Vestia Trophy main race at Caymanas Park.

The Restricted Stakes contest will be raced over seven-and-a-half furlongs (1,500m) for purses of $1.19 million for native-bred three-year-olds and four-year-olds, as well as imported three-year-olds and upward (non-winners of three).

Money Miser will line up against seven other competitors in Division One scheduled for a post time of 3:10 pm as the seventh event, while Divine Force faces nine runners in Division Two to go off at 4:25 pm as the ninth race.

Money Miser, bred, owned, and conditioned by Fitzroy Glipsie, finished in seventh position in the Moutett Mile on December 2 behind American-bred Rough Entry. Money Miser takes a drop in grade to contest this trophy, and with nothing outstanding in the line-up, he could easily put these away.

The Soul Warrior–She’s Traditional offspring has worked brilliantly for this race, having galloped five-and-a-half furlongs (1,100m) in 1:08.1 with the last five furlongs (1,000m) coming in 1:02.2. Shamaree Muir will ride Money Miser.

Norblar, trained by Gresford Smith, and Huntsman, trained by Gary Griffiths, are the most likely runners to give Money Miser a run for his money in this race. Norblar has been holding his own in recent races, finishing third behind Captain Calico over seven furlongs (1,400m) on December 2 on his last effort. Huntsman, on the other hand, showed signs of improvement when finishing second to Money Market in the six-furlong (1,200m) race on December 23. Based on his performance, Huntsman should have a say here and looks like a dangerous runner.
