A Twilight Night with Campion Dance Society

Saturday Social shares more from Thursday Food’s trip to the inaugural culinary festival Flavour and Flora, which took place on Saturday, July 13, at the Trinidad Hilton poolside, Port of Spain. The Caribbean Airlines-hosted event afforded patrons an opportunity to experience the best of the airline’s destinations through sumptuous Caribbean food prepared by chefs from across the regions.

Plus, highlights from night one of the Campion Dance Society’s 12th season of dance, Twilight: From Dusk Til Dawn, held Saturday last, at the Little Theatre. Led by artistic director Dwright Wright, the evening featured both new and established works. Wright, in his opening remarks, shared, “Twilight uses theatrical elements to bring light to darkness that overshadows our greatest aspirations, and the process of the twilight, though erratic, is enabling, nurturing and ever-changing.”

The 18 dance selections choreographed by Campion Dance Society’s resident choreographers Wright, Renée McDonald, and Mattu Perry featured classical, modern, gospel, dancehall, folk and jazz.
