Higgler accused of hacking woman’s social media account charged
KINGSTON, Jamaica— A higgler has been charged for allegedly hacking a woman’s social media account and posting inappropriate pictures of her after an argument on Price Street in Kingston 12 on Monday.
Charged with use of a computer for malicious communication is 27-year-old Richard Simpson of Walcan Drive in Portmore Villa, St Catherine.
Reports from the Denham Town police are that between 12:30 am and 6:00 am, Simpson and a woman got into a verbal altercation. The woman later realised someone had hacked into her social media account and posted inappropriate pictures and videos of her.
A report was made to the police, and Simpson was identified as a suspect.
After following several leads, detectives took Simpson into custody and charged him.
A court date is being arranged for him.
