JUTC buses needed in St Thomas
Dear Editor,
I am calling for Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses to begin servicing routes in St Thomas.
This would reduce residents’ dependence on coaster buses and robot taxis in which they are forced to listen to loud, lewd music.
Residents would also benefit from reduced fares and a comfortable ride to their destinations.
I also believe that having JUTC buses ply the various routes, not just in St Thomas but also in other rural parishes where the road infrastructure has improved, would reduce the incidents of road crashes involving public passenger vehicles.
In order for this to become reality, however, the Government must purchase more buses.
