Champs Real Madrid to bounce back at home against Osasuna in La Liga action

Champs Real Madrid to bounce back at home against Osasuna in La Liga action

JustBet offers Osasuna at odds of $14.00 to beat Real Madrid

Two of Europe’s footballing giants have been experiencing some really horrible form recently and will be aiming to end their struggles this weekend. Firstly, Real Madrid, who was battered in midweek by AC Milan, will host Osasuna on Saturday, while Manchester City, who was also battered by Sporting Lisbon in midweek, will play away to a dangerous side that could heap more misery on them.

Event # 1 – SPA – Real Madrid vs Osasuna – 8:00 AM

Defending La Liga champions Real Madrid will be hoping to return to form and winning ways when they host Osasuna at home tomorrow, Saturday, November 9. The ‘Whites’, Real Madrid, have had a terrible run of form lately, by their lofty expectation. Firstly, they were hammered 4-0 at home by Spanish rivals Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season on October 26, before being embarrassed 1-3 at home, this time, by an AC Milan team that currently sits eighth in Serie A, in midweek champions League action. Indeed, losing back-to-back home matches and by those margins isn’t something that the Madrid faithful’s are accustomed to witnessing. Moreover, Real Madrid are nine points behind rivals and leaders Barcelona in the standing and will be aiming to return to winning ways against an Osasuna side that are traditionally poor travellers. However, more worryingly for Madrid is that they have failed to keep clean sheets in recent times, keeping just one in their last 10 overall matches.

Osasuna, on the other hand, have been in tremendous form recently, having won their last three games defeating Real Sociedad 0-2, then beating Valladolid 1-0 at home and finally smashing lower league side Chiclana 5-0 in Copa del Rey action, to head to the Santiago Bernabeu in confident spirits. Indeed, Osasuna have lost just one of their last eight games in all competitions, and with confidence at an all-time high, they will be aiming to breach Madrid’s leaky defence and look to maintain their recent excellent form.

Key Stats

• Real Madrid – Real Madrid have lost their last two games by an aggregate score of 7-1; 0-4 against Barcelona and 1-3 against AC Milan. However, they have won 9 of their last 10 home league matches.

• Osasuna – Osasuna have lost just once in their last eight overall matches. However, they are winless against Real Madrid in their last four away meetings.

• Both sides – When both teams last met back in March, Real Madrid won a 4-2 thriller away from home. Amazingly, Osasuna’s last away win against Real Madrid came back in 2004.

The betting Tip. Real Madrid win.

Event # EPL – Brighton vs Manchester City – 12:30 PM

Two sides who are winless in their last three overall matches will come face to face in the English Premier League tomorrow, Saturday, November 9, as Brighton host a slumping Manchester City side desperate to return to winning ways. With that said, Brighton have continued where they left off last season, when they secured their first-ever European qualification. They started the new campaign in excellent form, going unbeaten in their opening seven matches, winning four and drawing three times, including beating Manchester United and drawing with title challengers Arsenal during this run. However, that good form came to a halt when they faced the red-hot Liverpool in their last two matches, suffering back-to-back losses. Firstly, in the league cup and two days later in the league.

Similar to their host Brighton, defending Premier League champions Manchester City got off to a fine start in the new campaign. City had won their first four matches in the league and were unbeaten in their last nine overall matches. However, things began to go backwards for City following a season-ending injury to midfield stalwart and recently crowned Ballon d’or winner Rodri. Firstly, they were ambushed and cut down by Tottenham in the league cup and suffered their first league defeat last weekend when they were beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth. And things then got worse for them, when they were embarrassed and hammered 4-1 away in midweek champions league action to Portuguese defending champions and current league leaders, Sporting Lisbon 4-1, a result that has sent shock waves throughout Europe. With both sides eager to react after a series of poor results, fans might be treated to an exciting game as both teams have been leaking goals at an alarming rate lately – Brighton have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight matches, while Manchester City have kept just two clean sheets in their last seven matches.

Key Stats

• Brighton – Brighton is unbeaten in the five home matches in the league so far; they haven’t had a longer unbeaten start to a new season since 1982/83.

• Man City – Manchester long unbeaten Premier League run ended last weekend against Bournemouth, but they haven’t lost back-to-back league games since October 2023.

• Both sides – Manchester City have picked up an impressive 37 points from a possible 42 in their last 14 meetings, with City boasting 12 wins to Brighton’s one, with one game ending in a draw.

The betting Tip. Man City win.
