Champs Man City welcome Chelsea at Etihad in thrilling EPL action

Leaders Napoli take on unbeaten Juventus in Serie A action at iconic Diego Maradona stadium

THIS weekend, fans should be treated to some fascinating games as it’s first versus fifth in Serie A when leaders Napoli take on the unbeaten Juventus, while defending Premier League champion Manchester City and Chelsea will continue their battle for a top four spot when both meet at Etihad on Saturday.

Event # 1 – SERIE A – Napoli vs Juventus – 12:00 pm

The highly anticipated clash between Napoli and Juventus will take place at the iconic Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in a match which sees the Serie A leaders Napoli hosting the unbeaten but fifth-placed team Juventus, which promises to be a thrilling encounter between two of Italy’s footballing giants. Indeed, Napoli have been the standout side in Serie A so far this season, especially at home where they have won eight games and have lost just twice to lead the league table. Their recent form has been nothing short of spectacular, having won their last five matches in all competitions. Indeed, they enter this match off the back of a thrilling, 3-2 away win over second-placed Atalanta last weekend, further cementing their status as title favourites.

The Old Lady, Juventus, find themselves in the unfamiliar position of fifth in the league standing with 34 points, 16 behind Napoli. While Juventus remain the only unbeaten side in Europe’s top five leagues, their record of just seven wins and 13 draws highlights Juventus’s struggles to convert tight matches into wins. Indeed, their recent form has been somewhat of a mixed bag, having just one win, three draws, and one defeat in their last five matches in all competitions. However, their most recent match was an impressive 2-0 win over another Italian giant AC Milan — a result that could potentially reignite their push for a top four finish.

Key Stats

• Napoli – Napoli have won their last five straight matches in all competitions.

• Juventus – Juventus are unbeaten in their last 29 Serie A matches and have lost none of their last 13 away matches.

• Both sides – Napoli have won three of their last five meetings with Juventus in all competitions, with Juventus winning one and the other ending in a draw.

The betting tip: Draw.

Event # EPL – Manchester City vs Chelsea – 12:30 PM

Defending Premier League champion Manchester City will host another top four hopeful in Chelsea, in an eagerly anticipated showdown on Saturday. Man City is just two points behind Chelsea in fifth, while Chelsea is fourth in the table. After a horrible run of form in the last months of 2024, Manchester City appears to have roared back into life and are returning to form, going unbeaten since December, winning twice, and drawing one of their three matches played in 2025 — including a huge 6-0 battering handed out to Ipswich Town last weekend. If they can maintain this momentum they can easily get into the Champions League spots as the other teams around them continue to drop points. In fact, if City continues their winning run they might even have a chance of challenging for the title. However, leaders Liverpool are 12 points ahead of them, with a game in hand, which means they would have to lose at least four games, and City does not drop any more points during the second half of the season.

Chelsea, on the other hand, find themselves fourth in the league standing but they were even higher a few weeks ago, with pundits predicting them and Arsenal to be the only genuine challengers to stop Liverpool from winning the title this season. However, their recent form has left a lot to be desired as they have won just one, drawn two, and lost two of their last five league matches, with one of those losses coming against a team that their upcoming opponents, Man City, just hammered 6-0 last weekend. What is interesting though is that Chelsea have won against some of the league heavyweights this season, including Tottenham and Newcastle, while drawing against Arsenal, with only Liverpool from the big six to have defeated them this season.

Key Stats

• Man City – Man City have won four of their last five overall matches in all competitions.

• Chelsea – Chelsea have won two, drawn two, and have lost just one of their last five matches in all competitions.

• Both sides – The most recent clash between both teams resulted in a 2-0 away win for Man City. Interestingly, in their last six overall meetings both teams have three wins each.

The betting tip: Man City win.
