I Love the 90s returns for seventh staging; third brunch edition
ON Sunday, July 6, 2025 Devon House Gardens will host the seventh overall staging and third brunch edition of I Love the 90s, Jamaica’s first 90s-themed party.
The brunch format is the first of its kind for a 90s music party in Jamaica.
Scheduled for a Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the event transforms the East Lawn into an open-air celebration of the decade’s defining sounds and social spirit.
Founder Dwayne Virgo launched the brunch series after recognising a gap in the market for patrons aged 30 and up who want a daytime music event with all-inclusive food and good company.
Virgo, who also operates Blaktie Events and Entertainment, noted that while his company handles production for several brands and events across the island, I Love the 90s remains Blaktie’s signature event — one they conceptualise and stage independently.
“We don’t have any VIP sections…as everyone is a VIP at the 90s,” Virgo said.
Admission is food-inclusive, with a full menu sourced from KFC, Pizza Hut, and other local vendors. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. The open-lawn layout invites everyone onto the same dance floor, encouraging a shared, nostalgic energy throughout the evening.
Since inception, I Love the 90’s has partnered with KFC and, as KFC celebrates its own 50th anniversary in Jamaica, the event team is proud to join that milestone journey.
Musical direction comes from ZJ Liquid, Richie D, and DJ Marvin, who limit announcements to maximise uninterrupted music sets. Their focus on mixing over announcements creates a seamless party flow — true to the essence of the 90s club scene.
