Jolie-Alexis Brown, a 21-year-old student at the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTECH) School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, has become the first recipient of the Saltfish from Norway Culinary Excellence Scholarship.
The award, provided by the Norwegian Seafood Council through its Jamaican marketing agency Infinity Integrated Marketing Communications and Events Limited, covers full tuition. UTech’s scholarship department and Infinity IMC presented Brown with a symbolic cheque during a classroom ceremony on November 21.
