SPOTTED!!

SPOTTED!!

The more… It’s an exciting time for The Chamber Group as we are doing more in the theatre space (Broadway) and working with iconic institutions like The Schomburg Library, which is celebrating a centennial anniversary this year, as well as the most prestigious HBCU Grambling State University, celebrating its 125th anniversary and continuing to work with brands like L’Oréal… I’m excited to see further growth taking place with The Chamber Group.

On how his Jamaican upbringing has impacted his approach to PR… I think my Jamaican background is what has contributed to my successful career. Being raised to believe, to walk with self-respect and carrying yourself with dignity and morals has helped me to guide my clients in understanding how important their public image is and how it affects their business. Perception is everything!

I came from an era where, as a publicist, your role was always to be in the background navigating what the public sees. I believe the work is what brings you recognition without seeking to be in the spotlight. I’ve only had the career I’ve had due to people recognising and respecting my work. No need to do PR on myself; I let the work speak for itself.

On whom he most admires… My mother Elaine Chambers is who I most admire… were it not for her raising me to believe there is no ceiling and that I could go as far as I wanted… none of this would be possible.

What would be your advice to a 2026 graduating class of PR enthusiasts… I would stress that PR is about building relationships and, as long as you come from a place of passion and drive, you will have the most fulfilling career.

On what gets him out of bed each morning… God! Understanding that waking up every day is a gift. The rest is all blessings and being thankful.

On what he misses when not in Jamaica… I miss the energy that the island fuels me with. When I’m in Jamaica, the food, the weather, the people all make me feel the healthiest, that’s why I try to make it back at least twice a year when possible.
