The heat is on
Labour has made it through yet another term, please note the calm, dare I say, civilised approach? No baby
powder splashed over the chest, no placards indicating ‘justice’. Oh well the Euro continues to gain strength and in France (just in case you thought we were the only ones banking with our Sealy mattress), the Francs are coming out in hordes as the French try to get rid of their excess funds prior to the single dollar.
Penthouses, antique furniture all cash, no questions asked. Oh la la. And the foot and mouth is not just about empty restaurants but ladies, a shortage of luxury handbags, shoes and gentlemen luxury cars. As we speak there’s a shortage of customised cars and a waiting list for the Lexus. The best leather does come from Europe. Oh well
Now the heat is on and some have already gone away and returned. Some are getting ready for Wimbledon, others a cruise and Bill has taken Chelsea to Oxford.
Meanwhile in Jamaica, marketing skills seem to be scarce and the headhunter is working overtime to fill that spot. It was filled but for, alas, a mere three months. Oh well let’s continue mixing and watching shall we.?
Why, some are asking, is the midnight oil being burnt so late at nights? A coup perhaps is what some are surmising whilst others are looking to the North.
And the more things change the more they remain the same. Tears came to my eyes as I read about the plight of the franchise holder. So he still has the franchise. But who’s really surprised? Oh well let’s look at the positive side shall we? I’m still loooking.
And so is he ready for the results. For after all of those fat pills and early morning walks he still cannot rise. The nurses we gather were not too kind and his wife they say is calling it retribution as she plays loudly with her toys each night. We call it overstaying your welcome.

PS Do your vacation thing early and head back to Jamaica or should we say the Ritz for Sashi this year. The fashion show will not be in Kingston but at the Ritz Great House which will also be the venue for the grand ball. Line up includes P Diddy (Puff Daddy) and Teddy P, to name a few. I guess outfits are in order ladies.
