Weaving 101
“Women are going for the invisible braid and micro-braids right now,” Shellian Hudson-Carter from Simplicity Beauty Salon in Spanish Town told all woman. “In fact, I see more women coming in for braids, sew-in and glue-in than for creming(relaxing).”
The popular ones are the Wet and Curl Jherri and the human hair for weaving; while for braiding, the Afro Kinky and the Jamaican Bulk are used to achieve that natural look. “The sew-in will last a month while the glue-in will last three weeks or less depending on how you sweat.”
Synthetic hair
Synthetic hair is made of a wide array of different synthetic fibres. These come in a variety of textures: yaki (closely resembles relaxed hair texture); silky (resembling very straight Asian hair); European texture hair straight (Europeans do not generally sell their hair, so called “European hair” usually comes from India or China); curly (ranges from tight corkscrew curls to the varying degrees of wavy); and crimped (very small, sharp waves).
Human hair
Most human hair used for weaves is derived from Asia (China, India, and to a very small degree, Southeastern Russia). People in these countries grow their hair for sale to specialty buyers who sell it to manufacturers. -Wikipedia
