Does he really like you slim, or fluffy?
If you listen to the word on the street and in popular music you’d get the impression that Jamaican men, for the most part, like their women to have a little junk in the trunk instead of the stick-thin Western ideal. But is this more fiction than fact? More and more women traversing the social scene have noticed more of what seems to be a preference for what one described as the “model-type with the A cup”. It begs the question, are Jamaican men’s preferences changing?
Below some men share their ideal type of woman.

Type? The only criteria is that she has to be female. Whether fat or slim, black or brown, short or tall, long hair or short hair, mi wi deh wid them!
Jerome, 32:
I like well-proportioned women; women who are fat in the right places. The thick ones, those are the ones I like, especially the ones with thick legs.
Stephen, 31:
I like skinny girls, not too skinny of course. I like them because they’re easy to lift.
Randy, 28:
I like in-between ladies. Women who are just right — not to fat or too thin.
Rohan, 29:
Skinny guys like myself like fluffy girls. I like how dem feel, dem feel nice!
