On dating a co-worker
It is already difficult to date in the normal scheme of things, and it can be twice as challenging to date when there are already drawbacks – like dating within the same company.
How can you handle being in a relationship with a co-worker?
Candace:
I couldn’t do it. First thing is if he flirts innocently, I would hear about it and that would cause major problems between him and I. Many men have asked me out at my company and I rejected them all. I desire my work life to be peaceful.
JC:
I see nothing wrong with it. My husband and I work at the same company and we’ve had an amazing relationship for over two decades. It is all about chemistry, loyalty and love.
Rach:
I wouldn’t recommend it. I did it twice and it was a horror movie – a living nightmare. When we started having issues, everyone started to question me about it because they didn’t see us eating lunch together anymore or coming and going home together. It was too much.
Ali:
I see nothing wrong with it once it is managed properly. When at work, keep it professional and outside of that, well, whatever.
Marie:
No, no, no! I never date anyone in my community, school or company. Once it goes sour, the aftermath is not sweet.
