Wife status: Cancelled
Some women brand themselves “wifey” before the relationship even gets a good start, and that is dangerous. Fact is, it is always smart to assess the situation properly before attributing titles, as the women below found out.
MD:
With my ex, I told everyone that I had met “the one” and even posted pictures from our dates on social media. Until one day his wife DM’d me on Instagram and told me to kindly take the pictures down because she has a family image to maintain. I felt like crap. I literally planned to marry the man. Ladies, do not jump the gun, wait and wait some more before you tell the world about your new-found love.
Nadine:
I went on several dates with this man and I am actually embarrassed to confess this, but I bought myself an engagement ring and told everyone I was engaged. Couple months passed and I stopped hearing from the guy. He had migrated and said nothing to me until I stalked out his house and a neighbor told me that he had migrated.
TH:
After eight weeks of being together, I told him I wanted to get pregnant, but first we should get married. The guy was scared and told me it was best we break it off because I was being weird. I’m still trying to recover from it all as my friends and family are still asking me what happened and I am too embarrassed to let them know.
Georgia:
After three months with this wonderful man, I started buying baby clothes. One night I was showering and he visited. He let himself in and I asked him to pass me a towel from my dresser and as he searched, I guess he came upon the baby clothes and shoes. He asked me to explain and I told him I wanted to have his baby. From that night I’ve never heard from him. I am now dating someone else and I got rid of the baby clothes as I am not losing another potential husband.
Racine:
Putting photos on social media after the first date is a sure way to end all communication with a man. I did that and I learnt that as a woman, you have to relax and wait on the man to decide if you will be a wife or not.
