Google teases new gadgets and apps
Google gave its IO audience a preview of a new Pixel tablet, watch, and phone, a new budget Pixel 6a, the first Android 13 public beta and exciting search, AI, and app updates. However, one reviewer boasted that many of these features are already available in Apple products.
Topping the list of apps is the conversion of Google Pay to Google Wallet, storing everything you will need for your digital life. The Android tablets’ multitasking features will let you use apps side by side and new interfaces. Google is adding copy and paste from phones to tablets. According to Google, “You’ll soon be able to copy a URL or picture from your phone and paste it on your tablet.”
Finally, a Pixel Watch has finally been confirmed with the design featuring a circular, domed design and a “tactile” crown and side button. Made of recycled stainless steel it will offer swappable proprietary bands. It’ll also run on an “improved” Wear OS 3 with better navigation and smart notifications.
