The number of listed securities in 2022 was 101, up from 95 in 2021, with 10 new securities listed last year. The 1834 Investments Limited was delisted on the final trading day of 2022. A total of 20 new securities listed in 2021.
Number of individual investors and corporations
There were 283,613 Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) accounts in 2022 and 246,407 JCSD accounts in 2021.
Number of new companies listed
There were seven new companies listed on the JSE in 2022. These included Spur Tree Spices Jamaica Limited, Massy Holdings Limited, JFP Limited, EduFocal Limited, Dolla Financial Services Limited, One-on-One Educational Services Limited, and Regency Petroleum Company Limited.
There were three new companies listed on the JSE in 2021. These included Future Energy Source Company Limited, Guardian Holdings Limited and Sygnus Real Estate Finance Limited.
Best performer for the year
FosRich Company Limited was the best-performing stock in 2022 as it grew by 332 per cent to $3.91.
Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited was the best-performing stock in 2021 as it grew by 405 per cent to $13.04.
Worst performer for the year
Margaritaville (Turks) Limited was the worst-performing stock in 2021 as it declined by 63 per cent to $16.00. ISP Finance Services Limited was the worst-performing stock in 2022 as it declined by 54 per cent to $17.49.
