SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — The majority view seemed to be that the shopping promotion Takes Style Out (TSO) last Thursday was “slow” in this south central town.

But first-time entrant Sherine Mullings of clothing store Chea Go saw it very differently.

“It was great,” Mullings told the Jamaica Observer Central.

“We had a good turn out (of shoppers). It was good, very good, better than we expected,” Mullings said.

For Norma Wilson, supervisor at Big Buy store, TSO shopping was significantly down from last year. “The turnout was poor compared to last year,” she said.

Andrea Wilson of Maxie Department Store also said business was slow as “feedback” received by her suggested some of her regular customers weren't even aware of the promotion.

“We did better last year,” said Wilson.
