Investigate the vaccine programme missteps!Monday, June 21, 2021
I was listening to media reports on Friday, June 18, 2021 and there was a report that the Ministry of Health and Wellness is now saying that there is a shortage of vaccines and only individuals over 50 years of age would be getting their second shot in the upcoming vaccination blitz.
The Ministry of Health has made glaring missteps during the fight against COVID-19 and there needs to be an immediate investigation.
The Ministry of Health should be asked to answer the following questions:
* What is the current protocol for someone who tests positive for the novel coronavirus if the person is experiencing little or no symptoms?
* Why were people under the age of 50 given the AstraZeneca when several countries in Europe had banned this vaccine for those under 60?
* Why is the Ministry of Health refusing to consider the use of Ivermectin when several prominent local doctors have consistently called for its use, noting the impact it has in reducing deaths and hospitalisations?
* Is there a potential danger if there is an extended lapse between the giving of the first and second vaccine?
The Ministry of Health should not be allowed to “PR” its way out of this current situation.
